Scale

pounds flank steak
¼ cup soy sauce
¼ cup olive oil
3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
3 tablespoons fresh lime juice
2 tablespoons brown sugar
4 garlic cloves, minced

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, lime juice, and brown sugar until dissolved.

  3. Place the flank steak in a large zip-top bag or shallow dish.

  4. Pour the marinade over the steak and ensure it is fully coated.

  5. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or up to 12 hours for maximum flavor.

  6. Preheat grill to high heat (about 450–500°F).

  7. Remove steak from marinade and discard excess marinade.

  8. Grill steak for 4–5 minutes per side until caramelized.

  9. Let steak rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

  10. Slice thinly against the grain and serve.

Notes

For the best results, marinate the steak overnight so the Grilled Flank Steak Marinade fully penetrates the meat. Always slice flank steak against the grain to keep it tender. High heat grilling creates the best caramelized crust.
