  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

For the Chicken Tenders:
1 ½ pounds chicken tenders (or sliced chicken breast)
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 large eggs
2 tablespoons milk
1 ½ cups panko breadcrumbs
½ cup regular breadcrumbs
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon dried oregano
Olive oil spray

For the Honey Mustard Sauce:
½ cup mayonnaise
3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons yellow mustard
3 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Pinch of salt

Instructions

  • Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.

  • In one bowl, mix flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, smoked paprika, and oregano.

  • In a second bowl, whisk eggs and milk.

  • In a third bowl, combine panko and regular breadcrumbs.

  • Pat chicken dry. Dredge in flour mixture, dip in egg wash, then press firmly into breadcrumbs.

  • Place tenders in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Lightly spray with olive oil.

  • Air fry at 400°F for 9–11 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 165°F.

  • Whisk all honey mustard sauce ingredients until smooth.

  • Serve warm with honey mustard dipping sauce.

Notes

Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket. Cook in batches if needed.
• For extra crispiness, toast panko in a dry skillet for 2–3 minutes before breading.
• Always spray lightly with oil for best browning.
• Reheat leftovers in the air fryer at 375°F for 4–5 minutes to restore crispiness.
